Daughters of Charity Services Joins Over 100 Organisations in Urging Reconsideration of Citizenship Restrictions for Refugees
Daughters of Charity Services has joined over 100 organisations in co-signing a joint briefing led by the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) and Together With Refugees. The briefing raises urgent concerns about recent changes to the UK’s 'good character' guidelines, which risk preventing the majority of refugees gaining British citizenship
The co-signed briefing has been formally submitted to members of the House of Lords in advance of the Committee Stage of the Border Security Bill, calling for a reconsideration of guidance that undermines the pathway to citizenship for those seeking sanctuary.
