Superioress General of the Daughters of Charity is appointed to the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news from the Vincentian family. Sister  Françoise Petit, Superioress General of the Daughters of Charity, has been appointed by Pope Leo  XIV to the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.

The announcement, which came on 24 June 2025, is a heartfelt recognition to Sister  Françoise’s inspiring leadership, compassion and true Vincentian spirit. In her new role, she’ll help support and guide religious communities around the world, and making a real difference in how we serve those in need.

This appointment is a proud moment for the Daughters of Charity and an honour to her dedication to all those we serve.
