Walking with Families, Changing Futures
The Louise Project is a Christian anti-poverty charity rooted in the Vincentian tradition, working in the heart of Govanhill, one of Scotland’s most diverse and disadvantaged communities. Through its welcoming community hub, The Space, the project supports families—particularly from the Roma community—facing persistent poverty, marginalisation, and systemic barriers. With compassion and dignity at its core, the team offers practical support, advocacy, and crisis assistance tailored to individual needs.
Their five key programmes range from drop-in services and home visits to immigration support, skills development, and community-building activities. By walking alongside those they serve, The Louise Project helps people move from surviving to thriving—restoring hope, building trust, and enabling long-term change.
