Vincentian Impact 2023-24: Key Highlights & Outcomes

July 25, 2025

A snapshot of lives changed and lessons learned in 2023-24

We are six Vincentian charities spread across Great Britain, yet we move as one family—rooted in faith, driven by justice, and laser-focused on the people the world too easily forgets. Together, our teams accompany vulnerable families, older neighbours, people with disabilities and those living on society’s margins, always upholding dignity and choice.

Snapshot of the year

  • 1,333 families reached with practical care and advocacy.
  • £1.99 million channelled directly into frontline services through donations, grants and legacies.
  • 84 volunteers and 140+ newly-trained staff extended our Vincentian welcome even further.

Moments that mattered

  • St Joseph’s celebrated its centenary by launching art, music-therapy and gardening projects that amplify the voices of adults with learning disabilities.
  • Out There stood beside families when a loved one was imprisoned, protecting children’s wellbeing and breaking cycles of isolation.
  • Marillac Neurological Care Centre maintained a 96 % occupancy rate, surpassing NHS targets while delivering complex neuro-rehabilitation with compassion.

And these are only glimpses—each of our six charities tells a richer story of courage, collaboration and hard-won change.

“The past year has seen significant challenges and achievements … Working against three strategic aims, we have made substantial progress against each of these.” — Mark Choonara, CEO

Why this matters

Behind every statistic is a neighbour whose world feels a little safer, kinder and more hopeful because someone from our Vincentian family showed up. Our 2023-24 Impact Report captures those stories in full—stories of music sparking smiles, of mums finding community, of clinicians restoring movement and dignity.
